Job Summary:

We are seeking a Planned Roofing Works Manager/Assistant Contracts Manager to join our busy roofing company. The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role is ideal for someone looking to make the next steps in their career and progress into a role that will mould you in to a contracts manager whilst giving you a rewarding career.

Responsibilities:

Support the contracts manager/director in overseeing multiple roofing projects from start to finish.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice to the site team.
Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with subcontract agreements.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of tenders.
Manage project documentation and record keeping.

Requirements:

At least 5 years’ experience in the pitched roofing industry, lead roofer/roofing site supervisor/gang leader.
Knowledge of roofing materials, systems, and installation methods.
Commercial, Operational and business acumen or a sound understanding of.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and construction industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
