Job Title: Technical Area Sales Manager – Commercial and Industrial Flat Roofing

Job Overview

The Technical Area Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling flat roofing systems and solutions to architects, consultants, specifiers, contractors, and building owners. The role involves identifying new business opportunities and developing strong relationships with existing and potential customers. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and a proven track record of sales success.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and sell flat roofing systems and solutions, including liquid applied membrane, reinforced bitumen felts, single ply membranes, hot melt, green roofs, blue roofs, and solar PV.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strong relationships with architects, consultants, specifiers, contractors, and building owners.
Work closely with the technical team to provide technical support and expertise to customers.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and increase market share.
Deliver technical presentations and seminars to architects, consultants, specifiers, and contractors.
Attend trade shows and conferences to promote products and services and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to the management team.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and keep up-to-date with new product launches and updates.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns to support sales activities.
Provide excellent customer service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as engineering or construction, or relevant work experience.
Proven track record of sales success in the flat roofing industry or proven technical expertise in the flat roofing industry.
Excellent technical knowledge of flat roofing systems and solutions, including liquid applied membrane, reinforced bitumen felts, single ply membranes, hot melt, green roofs, blue roofs, and solar PV.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Results-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Salary

The salary for this role is competitive and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The package will include a base salary, commission, and benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
