Project Designer / Rainscreen Designer

McCormack Partners are looking to recruit a Project Designer/ Rainscreen Designer for a cladding and facades firm based out of Glasgow. This role would see you work with a UK wide industry leader in rainscreen cladding. All the information on the position is below. Job Title: Project Designer / Rainscreen Designer

Qualifications / Experience:

Educated to minimum HNC/HND or similar level in a construction related subject with demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Computer literate and proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with Revit would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Experience with a range of rainscreen cladding systems including fibre cement and aluminium cladding systems. Additional experience with curtain walling systems and/or glazing would be advantageous.
Minimum 5years experience within Cladding Sector.
Full Clean Driving Licence.
Must understand U-Valve Calculations.
Must have Rainscreen Cladding/façade design experience.
2 years minimum experience in cladding design.
2 years minimum experience using CAD/AutoCAD.
Sound knowledge of rainscreen systems. Must understand how the rainscreen goes together and how a bracket and inaudible systems go together.

Main Purpose of the role:

Responsible for providing a professional and efficient service including all necessary drawing, scheduling, and site visits.
Take ownership and responsibility for the design requirements associated with the role, with the support of the SCF Team.
Effectively manage project costs, specifically design associated elements including materials and sub-contract resources from commencement to completion within project constraints.
Provide effective liaison with Contracts and Commercial Departments as required.
