Worker injured at £300m offshore wind factory site

A construction worker was taken to hospital last Friday after an accident at a new £300m new offshore wind factory being built in Teesside.

K2 Construction Management are overseeing work on the job for South Korean steel manufacturer SeAH Wind.

A spokesperson the company told the Yorkshire Post: “There was an incident on December resulting in an injury to a contractor on site.

“Emergency services were contacted and responded to the incident quickly

“The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and a full and thorough investigation into what happened will now take place.

“Our thoughts remain with the worker at this time.”
