Bouygues E&S returns to profit ending five years of losses
Bouygues Energies & Services’ UK engineering contracting business has delivered a profit ending five years of losses.
The engineering construction and maintenance specialist based in Motherwell returned a pre-tax profit of £19m last year, after accumulating £141m of losses since 2017.
Revenue over the year to December 2022 was slightly ahead at £198m, helped by around £45m of revenue derived outside the UK.
The big gains came from a tighter control of operational costs at the business which employs around 255 staff.
