Weston Homes plans £50m East London scheme

House builder Weston Homes has exchanged on a new site in Barking, East London to deliver 147 apartments and around 10,000 sq ft of ground-floor commercial units.

The £50m Town Quay Wharf scheme will be delivered in partnership with Be First London, working on behalf of Barking and Dagenham Council.

Designed by PRP Architects, Town Quay Wharf located off Abbey Road will reconnect the town centre to the waterfront.

Public plaza overlooking the Mill Pond and River Roding

The new development will consist of three buildings, an 11-storey and two 7-storey buildings respectively, with pedestrian boulevards between them, opening onto the new public plaza on the waterfront.

It will be located to the north of  Weston’s bigger scheme known as Abbey Quay, a new £350m, 6-acre riverside urban village providing over 1,000 apartments, and 41,000 sq ft of commercial retail and leisure opportunities.
