Wates Construction managing director Mark Tant has left the firm after nine years.

Company veteran Steff Battle has been appointed interim Managing Director, Construction.

A spokesperson for Wates Group said: “Last month Mark Tant left his role at Wates after nine years – he made a significant contribution to the development and success of the construction business during this period, and we wish him the best for the future.”

Tant joined Wates in 2019 from Shepherd Construction where he had been managing director.

Prior to that he spent 29 years at Willmott Dixon latterly as managing director for south London and the southern home counties.
