UP Launches Affordable Housing Scheme Near Jewar Airport
The Uttar Pradesh Government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, has initiated an affordable housing scheme near the upcoming Jewar Airport. This scheme, facilitated by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), aims to offer approximately 6,000 plots at affordable prices.
The initiative allows individuals to purchase a 30 square metre plot for as little as Rs 7.77 lakh, making homeownership near the Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) more accessible. This move comes in response to the heightened interest in properties within the YEIDA area following the selection of the developer for the airport.
The scheme includes reservation provisions for various categories such as workers employed in YEIDA’s industrial units, employees of YEIDA-allotted institutions, ex-servicemen, war widows, SC-ST categories, and disabled individuals. The remaining plots will be available for general applicants, subject to eligibility criteria that include being an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old, and meeting specific income requirements.
Furthermore, the strategic location of the Yamuna Expressway, connecting major cities like Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, and Faridabad, adds to the scheme’s appeal. This well-connected corridor not only enhances the accessibility of the area but also underscores its potential for future development and growth. The scheme’s inclusive approach, with reserved plots for various sections of society, reflects the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing solutions and fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
