Subcontractors working for Birmingham based Colmore Tang have raised the alarm after the company’s website disappeared and the head office phones stopped working this week.

The Colmore Tang main website is now showing as expired and calls to the head office say the number is no longer recognised.

One subcontractor said: “We are trying to get in touch with them about money we are owed but it doesn’t look good.”

Latest abridged accounts for the year to May 20022 showed a pre-tax loss of £1.2m along with current liabilities exceeding current assets by £3.4m.

At its peak in 2018 the company had a turnover of £95m and employed 143 people.

The firm has been downsized in recent years and switched focus from major residential projects to delivering specialist cladding remediation.
