Skanska names new building division MD
Skanska UK building chief Steve Holbrook is leaving the business after 28 years prompting another rejig of senior management within the group.
Terry Muckian, managing director of the Cementation Skanska piling business, replaces Holbrook as head of the national building business taking the role of new Managing Director – Building.
Since joining Skanska in 2011, Muckian he has held several senior positions, including managing director of its Utilities business, before taking over at Cementation.
At the same time, Andy Entwistle, operations director at the piling specialist, is promoted to managing director of Cementation Skanska.
The latest leadership changes come amid a wider business streamlining which is seeing back office functions reorganised under changes instituted by new UK President and CEO Katy Dowding.
A trio of UK directors have also recently departed after many years service at Skanska.
These included executive vice president Martin Neeson, operational efficiency director Andy MacAskill, and communications director Anna Mann.
A spokeswoman said: “After 28 years of service, Steve Holbrook is leaving Skanska. Steve has been managing director of our building unit since 2018 and has made a significant contribution to the company over many years.
“We all wish him the very best for his future endeavours.”
