Sister scaffold firms file administration notices
Two scaffolding specialists owned by the same firm have filed notices of intention to appoint an administrator.
South London based BCM Scaffolding Services and Bristol based Scaffteq West lodged the court notices last week.
Both firms are part of the Safe Rise Scaffolding group which was set-up in 2018 as an umbrella brand to “acquire high performing scaffolding companies across the UK.”
BCM and Scaffteq were aquired by Safe Rise in 2019 and are the only deals to date by the business run by husband-and-wife accountants David Hayde and Adele McLay.
BCM employs 25 staff according to its latest accounts working on large commercial projects across the capital.
Scaffteq is a leading specialist across the South West focusing on the house building sector with 84 employees.
Data and credit checking specialist Red Flag Alert highlighted the firms’ administration notice with its regular checks of high court construction insolvency applications.
