Role: Quantity Surveyor – Voids
Location: Barnet, Greater London

McCormack partners is working with an industry leading contractor, looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for their commercial department. Having recently secured a number of key long-term clients, this firm is striking whilst the iron is hot and is growing its team in order to further grow its business.

This is the perfect role for a proven or experienced assistant quantity surveyor looking to take the next step in their career.

Must have experience in:

Working on void refurbishments
Working on measured term contracts
Material procurement
Sub-contractor procurement and management
Experience of using a Schedule of rates as a pricing mechanism

Key Tasks:

The candidate will be expected to supervise multiple sub-contractors
Leading the commercial management of multiple sites to maximise cashflow and margins
Pricing and management of variation accounts both upstream and downstream
Resolving commercial issues
Client liaison
Liaison and co-ordination with site delivery team to collate information on day-to-day basis
Providing site delivery team with commercial and contractual expertise
Change management and early warnings
Contract administration (JCT)
Cost Valuation Reconciliations and cashflow forecast management/preparation

Skills/Attributes:

Relevant qualification in quantity surveying/commercial management.

Holder of a Full UK driving licence (No more than 6 points)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying
Proven track record in successfully managing a project
Proficient IT Skills with a range of Microsoft office packages is essential
