Nixon Hire to put 500 machines under the hammer
Euro Auctions is set to sell off Nixon Plant’s rental fleet in a four-day super auction in Leeds.
Nixon Hire plans to offload 500 machines as part of a fleet rationalisation following the announcement of a new growth strategy at the hirer to focus on wellfare and site accommodation.
Large plant will continue to be an offer within the north-east of England through Newcastle and Stockton depots.
In all other areas large plant requirements will be met through strategic partnerships with Nixon Hire.
The heavy plant auction will take place in Leeds on 29th, 30th November and 1st, 2nd December and ranks as the biggest single-owner sell-off ever seen in the city.
Of the machines on offer, over 50% will be of 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 models with low hours.
It will test present market appetite in the face of slowing demand and recent falls in the value of second hand plant.
Nixon Hire CEO, Graham Nixon said: “As part of this fleet rationalisation, and stock disposal, you will see some of our large plant equipment being sold.
“This will be a great opportunity for buyers to acquire some Nixon Hire large plant stock.
“The full proceeds, and more, will be reinvested in further growing our accommodation, welfare and renewable power fleet.
“We steadfastly remain an organisation customers can rely on. We will continue to be a one stop site solution provider on a national basis, and we have plans to further expand our depot network in 2024.”
