The work programme received unanimous approval from councillors at a meeting on 27 July.

At the meeting, the councillors decided the work would be offered as small, self-contained contracts to encourage tenders from local, smaller businesses. The council hopes to foster local business growth and create more opportunities for apprenticeships in the area.

Cllr Mina Parmar, Cabinet Member for Housing at the London Borough of Harrow, said, “I’m very happy to back this investment plan, which as well as helping tenants and improving their quality of life, will support the business community.”

The £6,234,000 investment plan over two years for estate improvement projects in Harrow, includes works to Stonegrove Gardens Estate, Beatty Road Estate, Park Gates, Tregenna, and Arundel Courts, Amy Johnson Court Estate and Mountside Estate.

More information about the work will be shared on the London Tenders Procurement Portal.
