The CEO and founder of collapsed Kent contractor Claritas Group has joined JRL as a divisional managing director.

Jon Wardle has found a new role just weeks after Claritas went down owing more than £7m to its supply chain.

Wardle confirmed the demise of Claritas on LinkedIn in June stating: “To our supply chain who supported us to the end. I thank all of you and I am truly sorry for the impact on you, your respective employees and supply chains. In many ways, you are the most important cog in our diverse and fragmented industry.

“Right now, I am truly sorry if you are being affected by the Claritas Group’s failure in any way.”

In a more upbeat message yesterday Wardle said: “I am excited to announce that I have joined the JRL Group as MD – South.

“I look forward to working with my new colleagues, customers, consultants, supply chain and supporting the continued growth of our Integrated Construction Solutions model.”
