Role: Design Manager
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + car
Location: Nottingham

McCormack Partners are working with a well-established contractor specialising in roofing and cladding systems. There is an opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join the business, or a Senior Designer, looking to step into a management role.

Our client specialises in the design, supply, and installation of a variety of high-quality roofing and cladding systems for residential and commercial projects. Our client is renowned for their exceptional attention to detail, unparalleled customer service, and commitment to delivering tailored solutions. As the Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design team, leveraging your industry knowledge and leadership skills to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design team, managing all stages of the design process.
Ensure that all designs meet quality standards, comply with industry guidelines and meet project specifications.
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to align design concepts with client needs and project objectives.
Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical support to the design team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain strong relationships.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design team, focusing on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the design process.
Review and sign-off design deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and project requirements.

Key Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing and rainscreen cladding design.
Previous experience in a design management or senior designer role.
Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with latest design software and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for design details.
