Clement Conservation Rooflights Feature in TV Church Renovation Project
CLEMENT WAS delighted to see rooflights from the Clement Conservation Rooflights range featured in an episode of TV’s property renovation show, Derelict Rescue.
Clement’s client purchased an abandoned Methodist Church, which was originally built in 1903, as an exciting yet challenging renovation project. Their aim was to preserve where possible the church’s original features and character, and they have succeeded in doing this while also creating an unusual and beautiful home.
Church Renovation
A new mezzanine floor was created within the church’s pitched roof to house the bedrooms and four Clement Conservation Rooflights in a slate profile were installed to bring natural light and fresh air into the space. A combination of Clement 4 and side hung escape rooflights were selected, all with brass thumb winders. Custom blinds were also fitted.
The episode of Derelict Rescue is available to view on The Discovery Channel.
The client, who no longer lives in the church but rents it out via Sykes, commented: “Clement Windows have been incredible from start to finish. The quality of their products are superb and the windows often receive many compliments. Very impressed. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”
Clement Conservation Rooflights
Available in eight standard sizes, Clement’s skylights are constructed using mild steel sheet which makes them particularly strong. The surface is coated in polyzinc and then polyester powder paint for durability and to give the rooflights a good-looking finish.
Clement’s roof windows are made from high performance, argon filled, 24mm insulated glass units and come with a revolutionary warm T bar system. Available with several glazing options, including self-cleaning glass as standard, they are manufactured to EN ISO 9001 standards and rigorously tested against air, wind and rain to BS6375, achieving a BFRC Window Energy Rating of A+.
The standard range of rooflights is generally available for delivery in 2-3 working days. If one of the standard sizes is not appropriate, bespoke rooflights are also available.
Clement Windows Group manufacture an innovative range of steel windows, doors, screens and rooflights. The company specialises in conservation work for both private residences and commercial projects.
