Business Development Manager – South Lanarkshire

Role: Business Development Manager
Salary: £35,000 per year + commission
Location: Hamilton, South Lanarkshire

Over the past seven years, McCormack Partners has doubled its turnover each year and is now established as the global leader in recruitment within the commercial roofing industry.

As we move into 2024, the company has a number of goals to achieve, from doubling its turnover, doubling its staff count, and opening its first international office in Texas, USA.

As part of the company’s planned growth, it is now recruiting for a business development manager to help increase its revenue and market share across the United States of America.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the business development manager will play a critical role in the growth of the company and will have complete responsibility for client acquisition in 2024.

International travel, market-leading pay and commission structures, and the ability to join the senior leadership team are just a few of the perks on offer for this role. 

Role Responsibilities

As Business Development Manager, you will be expected to learn the American roofing contractor marketplace and then attract commercial roofing contractor clients to the business by various means of cold calling, email marketing, conducting zoom meetings and networking via trade shows and industry associations across America.

As well as generating new business, you will be expected to present “The McCormack Partners Way” to prospective clients and to fill in a detailed “Search Assignment Form” which will cover everything from the history and growth plans of the client, as well as the particular details associated with the jobs they need us to work on.

You will be expected to work well alongside our team of recruitment managers, who you will be passing the Search Assignment Form to, and you will be expected to uphold the company values of ambition, innovation, trust and integrity.

To be considered for this position, you should have at least 5 year’s experience of selling a service to contracting businesses (not necessarily in the United States), and have an ambition to become a global player in the recruitment world.
