Role: Area Sales Manager – Roofing
Salary: Competitive salary + monthly commission (guaranteed commission for the first 6 months) + annual bonus + car + benefits

Company

Our client is an established manufacturer, specialising in low pitched roofing systems and roof membranes. This is an exciting time in their growth plans, and the company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to expand the team.

Opportunity

You will be taking over a warm area, with a number of blue-chip established customers, as the current region is being split to accommodate an increase in business.
The route to market is very varied, with no two days being the same. One day you will be specifying to a national house builder; the next day you may be presenting a CPD to architects; the next speaking with a contractor or back selling through a distributor.

Ideal Candidate

You are a highly ambitious technical sales specialist, preferably with roofing sales experience, but certainly with envelope sales experience, a knowledge of roofing and specification experience.
You are a new business ‘hunter’, always with an eye on new opportunities. There is an excellent commission + bonus scheme in place, so the harder you work, the more you will earn. If you love to clock in at 9 and finish at 5, this isn’t the role for you.
You are personable, but professional. An aggressive salesperson, but also a team player.
Preferably, you have a good mix of specification sales experience, coupled with a knowledge of selling through a distributor network. If you have experience selling to house builders, even better.
