26 face fight to renew spots on £1bn NEPO civils deal
The North East Procurement Organisation has started the race for its next-generation civils and infrastructure framework worth an estimated £1bn.
Twenty-six firms now face a fight to renew their places on the framework which now has a simplified lotting structure for firms delivering projects in the north east and nationally.
Existing partners on the national lots include: BAM Nuttal, Esh, Galliford Try, Tilbury Douglas and VolkerStevin.
The revamped framework includes a single national supplier place for civils and a specialist national marine work lot.
The framework is due to come into operation in March 2025 and run for four years with an o operation to extend for a further two years.

Lot 1: Tees Valley – Up to £1m
Lot 2: Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear – Up to £1m
Lot 3: North East – £1m – £3m
Lot 4: North East – £3m – £5m
Lot 5: North East – £5m – £10m
Lot 6: North East – Over £10m
Lot 7: National up to £5m
Lot 8: National £5m – £10m
Lot 9: National over £10m
Lot 10: National – Single supplier over £10m
Lot 11: National – Marine
Firms have until 14 October to return applications. The framework will start operation in March 2025.
