More schools found to have crumbly concrete

Another 27 schools have been found to contain Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete following the latest round of surveys.

An update from the Department for Education confirmed the number of schools found to contain crumbling concrete has risen to 174 from 147.

Surveyors have been checking hundreds more schools as the crisis unfolds and the government is vowing to update its school list every two weeks.

Remediation work means more pupils in affected schools have been able to return to full-time in-person education since the first list was released.
