CHRIS PRATT, Transport Manager at EPD Insulation Group is one of the last five national finalists in the running to become Transport Manager of the Year 2023.

The competition was started in 2022 by UK Logistics, one of the UK’s leading logistics businesses. It was created to be a platform to shine a light on the great work UK transport managers do, keeping goods, services and the supply chain wheels moving around the country.

The event was a fantastic success and Lee Prentice, Transport Manager at Greggs plc, was crowned it first ever winner. At last year’s awards ceremony, Lee said, “I am extremely honoured to be crowned as Logistics UK’s first Transport Manager of the Year. It’s a challenging but rewarding competition and the other finalists pushed me all the way with their determination.”

This year, EPD Insulation Group’s Transport Manager Chris Pratt will compete for the title. Chris explained the process that got him to the final stage, “As this is a knowledge and case study-based award rather than one won through votes, I was interested in applying as I felt that it is more of an achievement. I have had to pass a test, submit a case study and next I have an interview with the judging panel where the winner will be decided.”

The winner will be announced on 30 November 2023 at an award ceremony in Birmingham.
