Langley’s Chief Executive, Tony Silvestri, said, “The business had undertaken a review of its long term strategy and decided to stop its green roof installation and contracting activities and re-focus its efforts on its core operation of specification sales.

“The company will continue to invest in its Green Infrastructure and Sustainability strategies but will now do so through its new Eco Solutions division. We wish Keith Hills and the EGR team all the very best in their new venture.”

Eco Green Roofs Ltd was first established in 2011 by Keith Hills and fellow directors James Edwards, Sophie Waters and Chloe Molinuex. The company was bought out by Langley in 2017 and continued to focus on the design, supply and installation of green roofs and other rooftop ecological products.

The Langley Group is headquartered in Daventry, and employs 125 people. It provides the UK’s largest roofing apprenticeship scheme and is renowned for delivering a range of NVQs and bespoke training packages.

Langley has launched a Roofer Level 2 (Waterproofing) apprenticeship programme, with the first cohort due to begin studying in spring 2023.
