The client is a leading building contractor specialising in the housing and education sector, and has a history of delivering high-quality projects ranging from specialist refurbishment, roof replacements, traditional construction, internal & external upgrades, and new builds.

Due to new contract wins and an expanding order book, they are now looking to employ an Assistant Quantity Surveyor working in their Contracting Division.

Role

Leading the commercial management of multiple sites to maximise cashflow and margins
Pricing and management of variation accounts both upstream and downstream
Resolving commercial issues
Liaison and coordination with the site delivery team to collate information on a day-to-day basis.
Change management and early warnings
Cost Valuation Reconciliations and Cashflow forecast management/preparation

Candidate

For this role you must have previous Assistant Quantity Surveyor experience
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management preferred.
Proficient understanding of various contracts (JCT and NEC) would be an advantage
A knowledge of roofing (particularly flat and pitched roofing) would be useful, but not required.
